The Mudhogs is Dalton's third book. He is a very bright and imaginative eight year old who enjoys reading and writing books. I was captivated by his book. It is instructive and it has an important lesson as well.

The book is about three little pigs who form a club in order to celebrate mud. But one day they turn around and there is no mud to be found anywhere no matter what they do. So, they decide to travel to far off places in the search of mud. But no mud was found. They were dismayed until they decided to go back home.

What a great moral lesson for young kids! I think they will be able to better understand the value of home and may even realize that there is no real point to search for things away from home. Home is where everything that we need resides.

Dalton also illustrated his own book. The pictures are very realistic and I love the drawings of the little piggies!

What a great job by a wonderful and talented boy! I can't wait to see Dalton's next book!

Rating: 4 Roses
